We’ll be taking a break from Ephesians this week when we gather. However, we’ll not be far from it in content, as we’re compelled by what we’ve learned thus far to discuss citizenship and the gospel in America. As believers in Christ, we belong to a kingdom that is not of any semblance of this world. And yet, we live in the already-but-not-yet kingdom coming to earth as it is in heaven in our country, America. Christians living in America are constantly finding themselves (or situations finding them) in places of tension. How do we navigate it? Where have we gotten our priorities wrong? Most importantly, what does the Bible say about all of this?
Let’s commit to praying together — that the Lord would illuminate our text (Philippians 3:20, primarily) to our hearts and minds, and making the Word of God fall fresh on our ears.
Prepare your voices to sing this week, too. Songs we’ll sing together include:
See you at 9a or 10:45a on Sunday! Come on time or a bit early. Come eager. Come expectant!
