Call to Worship
Hear God call us to worship this morning from Isaiah 12:

“Give thanks to the Lord, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the peoples, proclaim that his name is exalted.

“Sing praises to the Lord, for he has done gloriously; let this be made known in all the earth.”

– Isaiah 12:4b-5

Doxology [From All that Dwells]

Confession / Lament

Our God constantly calls us to bring our burdens to Him so that we can rejoice in His care for us.

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

– Philippians 4:4-6

Augustine once said, “He who sings, prays twice.” Singing intensifies what we’re feeling, both the longing and the sweetness we can taste even in the midst of our sorrow. As we sing of our great need for Him, remember that He knows every measure of pain and sorrow. He can surely be trusted with ours.

Oh the Love of My Redeemer

Assurance of Grace / Passing of Peace
The LORD is faithful in all his words and kind in all his works.
The LORD upholds all who are falling and raises up all who are bowed down.

– Psalm 145:13b-14

His faithfulness and care for us is shown in Jesus Christ and His saving work.  Show the love of Christ as you greet one another today.

The Love of God

Reading

The Bible gives us a vision of heaven:

“And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the sea, and all that is in them, saying, ‘To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!’”

– Revelation 5:13

Jesus is the center of heaven. He’s the center of everything. When we sing “Center My Life,” we’re crying out to God, “Come God, do it again! Turn my eyes! Tune and teach my heart! Give me a glimpse of Jesus so that I may take up the occupation of heaven here on earth. Center my life on the exalted Jesus, His beauty, His power, so that everything else may find its proper place.

Let’s sing this together and ask Jesus to center our lives on Him!

Center My Life

Benediction

Hear God’s Word to us as we go:

Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way. The Lord be with you all.

– 2 Thessalonians 3:16

With this peace in mind, go and live all of life – all for Jesus!
