Call to Worship
Welcome to Redemption, and Happy Father’s Day! We’re glad you’ve joined us as we gather together as a church family. Let’s hear the Psalmist and be reminded that though life wars against us at times, we are encouraged to remember and respond to the God who saves us.
But may all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you;
may those who love your salvation say continually,
”Great is the LORD!”
– Psalm 40:16
One way that we encourage and remind each other of God’s greatness is by singing together. We’re in great company this morning in doing that, as so many of our brothers and sisters in Christ all over the world are doing the same. So let’s get it!

Great is Our God
Father’s Day reminds many of us how grateful we are for the earthly fathers the Lord has placed in our lives. For many others, it’s a hard day. Perhaps you’ve recently lost your Father. Perhaps you never had one. Perhaps you wish you were one. Maybe you know you need the Lord to help you be a better one. Relationships are strained, and many of us often feel alone.
Jesus reminded his disciples this in John 14 as he was preparing them for his death, resurrection, and ascension to Heaven:
“I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.”
– John 14:18
Assurance of Grace
Jesus knows how many of us feel. Listen to His prayer to His Father…our Father:
(We read John 17:10-26)

Guide Me, O Thou Great Jehovah
Passing of Peace
Because of Christ’s finished work, we can be confident to sing and know that one day every sad thing will become untrue. That should give us great peace, and we should share that with one another!
Sermon | A Vision of Maturity | Ephesians 4:15-16
Response | Giving | The Lord’s Supper
As you go, be ready to serve.
Be dependent upon the Spirit for humility.
Think more highly of others than yourselves.
Give without any expectation of return.
And live this life as one hopeful for the next,
since Christ has risen from the dead and defeated death forever.
With God’s help, we will.
Peace be with you!
And also with you!
