Call to Worship
Good morning, and welcome to Redemption Peoria! We’re so glad you’ve joined us as we gather together as a church family. Let’s hear the Psalmist and be reminded that, though life wars against us at times, we are encouraged to remember and remind each other of the God who saves us.
But may all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you;
may those who love your salvation say continually,
Great is the LORD!
– Psalm 40:16
One way that we encourage and remind each other of God’s greatness is by singing together. We’re in great company this morning in doing that, as so many of our brothers and sisters in Christ all over the world are doing the same. And Hebrews 2:10 reminds us that Jesus himself is singing in the midst of this congregation. So let’s join our voices with his!

Confession / Lament
Take care, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God. But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called “today,” that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. For we have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original confidence firm to the end.
– Hebrews 3:12-14
Let’s all take a moment to confess silently before the Lord — telling Him what he already knows — and as God’s people, let’s use this time to ask the Lord to draw us to repentance with His kindness, delivering us from our fear, doubt, shame, pride, complacency, ___.
Worship in Song| By Thy Mercy
Assurance of Grace / Passing of Peace
Jesus told us all Himself:
“In the world you will have tribulation.
But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
– John 16:33b
Jesus delivers us from the curse of sin by becoming a curse for us and overcoming it. What good news the gospel is, friends! Greet one another now with joy!
As you go, be ready to serve.
Be dependent upon the Spirit for humility.
Think more highly of others than yourselves.
Give without any expectation of return.
And live this life as one hopeful for the next,
since Christ has risen from the dead and defeated death forever.
With God’s help, we will.
Peace be with you!
And also with you!
