Call to Worship
Good morning, and welcome to Redemption Peoria! As we’re called to worship each week, our response is to turn from putting our hope in other so-called gods, and to stake everything on the One, true living God. We trust that He hears us, that He protects us, and we recall to one another that He’s trustworthy. Let’s declare to one another who God is for His people:

Blessed be the Lord! For he has heard the voice of our pleas for mercy.
The Lord is our strength and our shield;
in him our heart trusts, and we are helped;
our heart exults, and with our song we give thanks to him.
The Lord is the strength of his people;
he is the saving refuge of his anointed.
Oh, save your people and bless your heritage!

Be our shepherd and carry us forever!

made plural from Psalm 28:6-9

By Thy Mercy

Worship in Song
O Come, Divine Messiah

Assurance of Grace / Passing of Peace
And we know that this Messiah did come. Let’s remember together:

But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons.
And because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!” So you are no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then an heir through God.

– adapted from Galatians 4:4-7

What good news the gospel is! You’re not just saved in being pulled out of slavery, but you’ve been adopted into a family you could never fathom. Be assured in this, and greet your brothers and sisters in love this morning!

Sermon | The Advent of Real Relationship | Hebrews 10:1-4

O Come All Ye Faithful / Doxology

As we go, may we remember this: God has chosen to make His home among us. He will not leave us. And He will come again for us.

Peace be with you!
And also with you!
