Roshan Amarasinghe

Production Director
About Roshan
I have been blessed with two wonderful boys, Peter and Josiah, whom I love very much.  They are a joy to me and continually teach me about how much God loves us.
When I was very young, my family emigrated from Sri Lanka and I grew up in various places in Southern California. It was when I was in high school that I was introduced to Jesus when my mom started bringing my younger brother and me to a small church in the San Fernando Valley.  This was where I first saw the lives of people being transformed by the love of God and it was there where my eyes were first opened to Him.  Since then, He has continued to shape my character through each experience to the praise of His glory.
Having moved to Arizona a few years ago, God has granted me the blessing of being in community at Redemption as well as the privilege of serving Him alongside other believers.  I look forward to the work the Lord will do in and around the West Valley through the believers He has placed on mission here.

Christie Beyeler

Guest Services Coordinator
About Christie

I have been married 35 years to my high school sweetheart Bruce. God has blessed us with three sons, two daughter’s in love and three grandsons.

I asked Jesus to be my Savior when I was ten. My relationship with Him has grown over the years from savior, redeemer, loving father, and  friend. I’m grateful for God’s love and grace and enjoy serving Him however I can.

The friendliness and welcoming spirit of Redemption Peoria was one of the things that drew us to this church. It is also the reason  I enjoy being a part of the greeting team. As greeters we want to be welcoming while sharing the light and love of Jesus. We want people who come to Redemption, from the moment they walk on campus, to feel like family and be able to enjoy what God has in store for them through worship and the teaching of the Word.

Juan Chavez

Pastoral Resident
About Juan

I’m married to my beautiful wife, Christina. We are blessed with two daughters (Jael and Violet), and are expecting another this summer.

I was born and raised in South Phoenix. At age 19 Jesus saved me. I immediately began working with teens and their families from the same high school where I graduated and in the same community I grew up in. My wife and I do ministry with students and young adults in the Laveen and South Phoenix area by hosting and leading community dinners & bible studies, running a program called ManUp, and running a huge closet on campus that provides clothing to students for free.

We hope to one day plant a church in this area, and are very much about collaborating with others who are on the same mission; wanting to see the kingdom of God on display in a variety of ways. I am currently a resident pastor here at Redemption Peoria. I love getting to know people, so please feel free to find me and say hello.

Vincent Clark

About Vincent

For reasons I’ll never understand, my remarkable wife Diana agreed to marry me in the fall of 2000, and each year that has passed since then has been better than the previous.  God has blessed us with 5 wonderful kids; Acacia, Justus, Lilah, Jadon, and Isaiah.  We are West-Siders through and through and can’t imagine living in any other part of the Valley.

I can’t say I grew up in a Christian home but I was generally aware of who Jesus was. I did however grow up in extremely sports-centered home and athletics dictated almost 100% of where and how we spent our family’s energy and resources.  But in all of God’s sovereignty, sports landed me at a tiny Christian High School in San Diego, and it was there that God revealed himself to me and called me into his presence.  I wish I could say that the subsequent 8 years of my life were filled with humble obedience, serving his people and bringing him glory, but unfortunately, that patch of history was filled with the polar opposite with a ton of my energy being put into shameful behaviors.  But despite my best efforts to push God away, he is faithful!

My entrepreneurial spirit has taken me through several different professions through the years from restaurateur to landscaper, as well as much heartache and confusion! Currently, God has me on mission as a Realtor and I’m humbled to serve my clients on a daily basis.

I’m excited to see what God has in store for our congregation and it is my prayer that our corporate efforts as a church accurately reflect the love of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Jon Demeter

Executive Pastor & Elder
About Jon

I married my best friend Teresa Demeter in the summer of 2000. We have 3 kids: Carson, Logan and Ryhan. Both my wife and I grew up in the West Valley and moved back to the area in 2012.

I grew up in and out of church. During my sophomore year in college is when I really turned a corner in my relationship with the Lord. God catapulted my growth with him through a personal discipleship relationship and a community of people that were passionate about their pursuit of Jesus.

After college, my wife and I joined the ministry staff of Athletes in Action in 2002, where we served college and pro athletes for 15 years.  In 2017, I took a role as the Executive Pastor of Redemption Peoria.

My hope is all who see me, hear me and experience me would catch a glimpse of him who saved me.

Charles Jones

Pastoral Resident
About Charles
I married my incredible, beautiful wife Amanda in November of 2014. We were both raised in the West Valley and have made our home here. We have two foster daughters who we hope will one day be our forever daughters. We trust the Lord with that.
I grew up in a home centered on Christ– I’m the son of a pastor and a “seminary baby,” even– but didn’t begin to seriously walk with Jesus until I was 20. It was then that Jesus’ call to himself became real to me. By his grace, I’ve been walking with him for over a decade now. I’m consistently in awe of his love and faithfulness to me- a sinful, broken man. What a treasure it is to be perfectly loved and known!
My wife and I have been a part of Redemption Peoria from its inception, and God has used this church as an indescribable gift to us, both individually and as a couple. I received the call to pastoral ministry in 2016 (ironically, my last semester of seminary) and I’m very grateful for the opportunity to serve on staff as a Pastoral Resident. I do not know where the Lord will lead us vocationally and/or ministry-wise, but we are certain that he will make it clear in his timing. May he be glorified in all of life!

Josh Miles

Worship Pastor
About Josh

I married April in the fall of 2003, and we were gifted with our daughter, Emma in the spring, over nine years later.  We were blessed with a son, Elijah, in March of ’16 and another son, Luke, in May of ’18.  Man, I love ’em.

I grew up in North Carolina, spending time in and out of church. God called me to himself when I was eleven, and I responded. But, I began to live out a works-based, overly-critical discipline of Christianity, which was the main theme of my church’s teachings. I walked around many years this way, with virtually no real concept of the gospel. God, in his mercy, exposed my blindness toward the end of college. God saved me from my pride in being “good” with the truth of his goodness.

My passion is for Christ and his church. I’m thankful for the opportunities the Lord has given me to serve and shepherd people in worship. My hope is that God would continually form us, his church, to believe him to be more beautiful and believable than anything else that tries to earn our hearts’ affections.

Josh Miller

R|Students Director
About Josh

I grew up in the frigid land of Minnesota and loved it. Arizona has been home for me since 2015 when I began an entrepreneurship degree at Grand Canyon University. An important part of going to a school so far from home for me was finding a church in which I could serve and grow. Redemption Peoria quickly became that place for me. I have belonged to Peoria since the fall of 2015 and have served in an internship/staff role since 2018.

I grew up in a Christian home that gave me a foundation of truth, but attending college allowed me to build my faith upon that foundation. The community at GCU and Redemption Peoria have helped shape and mold me into the image of Christ and for that I am forever grateful. In the spring of 2018 I graduated from GCU and decided to further my education for ministry. In the fall of 2018 I began a Master of Divinity degree at Phoenix Seminary and am loving every minute of it. The learning process within the program proves to be consistently humbling, and because of that, incredibly fruitful. I have served as the youth director since early 2019, and love each opportunity I have to invest in and learn from the youth of our congregation.

My hope and prayer is that Redemption Peoria continues to be used as a vessel to cultivate the kingdom in word and deed, and for the love of Christ to be shown to everyone who encounters a member of our community.

Tracey Regan

R|Kids Volunteer Coordinator
About Tracey

I married my best friend, Brian, in our home state at the Jersey shore in the summer of 1997. God blessed us with a family through foster care & adoption. We’ve had the privilege of raising two beautiful children, Casey and Jacob, into young adulthood. We moved to Arizona in 2006, and God has done the miraculous to transform us into the family that He designed.

I was adopted through foster care as an infant and brought into the loving care of faithful Christian parents. I attended a reverent and Christ-devoted, but also works-based, denominational church. I also spent time with family in Virginia who showed me an all-in love like Jesus witness of the gospel. In my early twenties God called me to Himself in my aunt’s small church in a first aid building at the base of Lake Montecello. I will say, though, that my road to thriving in Christ was long, as I held onto guilt and learned to live.

I love being on mission teaching students as a special education resource teacher in Glendale. Our family called Redemption Peoria home in the fall of 2015. Shortly after God opened our home to hosting a Redemption Community in Surprise. It is a blessing to serve the families and volunteers of Redemption Kids.

Tim Tobey

About Tim

My sweetie Kim and I have been married since March 1989. I grew up in Oregon and moved to Arizona in the summer of 1985 after graduating high school. Kim and I have been residents of Peoria since 1989 and we have two adult sons, Zach and Matt, who we are overjoyed to be able to say love Jesus and seek to serve him.

I grew up in a Christian home and Jesus called me to himself when I was a boy. While I did not fully understand what that meant at the time, I know that is when my journey began. I went through a time of rebellion as a teenager and young adult, but God did not let me forget who He was nor the cost that Jesus had paid for the redemption of my soul. After God’s correction brought me to my senses, I met Kim at a local church playing adult co-ed softball and shortly thereafter a new Tobey family was started.

Kim and I spent years attending and serving in a few local churches but it was after Kim was called into being an area director for Young Life doing urban ministry that our lives and world view changed. We realized we were called to take the gospel to kids where they were at rather than waiting for them to come find it at church. I spent years coaching competitive youth soccer and between that and raising leaders in Young Life I realized that I enjoy coaching and discipling young men and challenging them in their faith.

Professionally, I am the VP of Finance and IT at Lorts Manufacturing in Goodyear. Prior to that I spent years in the IT industry with IBM, Informix and JDA Software.

I believe God brought us to Redemption Church Peoria to fall more in love with His Son, His Word and His people. Redemption’s commitment to preaching and teaching the Word of God chapter by chapter and verse by verse has refreshed our souls and, in the process, develop a great love for this congregation. I am excited to see how God continues to move in our midst as the vision He has for us unfolds!

I gave my heart to Jesus at a young age, and felt called into ministry in high school.  My husband, Stephen, and I met at our church youth group in Prescott, got married right out of high school, and moved to Austin to be a part of a church plant.  After 10 great years and the birth of two awesome boys (and now a beautiful little girl) we felt led back to Arizona.  I am thankful to be part of an amazing church community in Redemption and excited to be on mission in Peoria.  I have always loved working with kids and look forward to serving the families at Redemption Peoria.

On Being a Local Congregation of Redemption Church

Redemption church is multi-congregational in structure. This means that a central governing body provides structure, direction, and support for the ministry of each local congregation. Local congregations, like Redemption Scottsdale, are united and collaborative, but each has its own leadership and is free to contextualize its efforts. Click on the link below to learn more about the overall structure of Redemption.

We are a non-denominational church with a Reformed view of salvation. We believe that all of life is all for Jesus. We have been saved by grace through faith, which is itself a gift. That gift empowers us to be a transformed people who embody His redemptive power and participate in the renewal of all things.

We are a sent people. As the church we are not called to turn inward and build our own kingdom. We are called to turn outward and give ourselves to the spread of the Gospel, the establishment of healthy local churches, and the multiplication of disciples. This is a call to invest beyond our church, beyond our tribe, and beyond our generation.

Community and Global Initiatives

We strongly believe that all members of the body of Christ are sent people, called to proclaim and demonstrate the gospel to the world. Therefore our community and global efforts should never be limited to structured programs. However, in response to the needs in our community, and God's heart for the nations, we do build global partnerships and facilitate opportunities to participate in God's mission of blessing the nations in Christ.
